The Dentist

by Regie*   Aug 19, 2006

You walk in the door
And recognize the smell
This is the place
Kids refer to as hell

Yes, it's the dentist
Who checks out your mouth
Pulls out teeth when needed
Makes you scream out loud

Putting on gloves
Is what they enjoy
Needles and injections
Are their favourite toys

You lie down on the sit
Dental nurse by your side
Gripping the rails
As they say "Open Wide!"

I think this poem lacked any, emotion. i know it's for kids, but still, i think a bit of emotion and a better flow, would have made this poem a better piece. sorry, i don't mean to be mean, but i thought you'd like to know the opinions of one of your readers.
