Too Hurt To Care

by Sarah Ann   Aug 20, 2006

I was in his grasp for several years
Groping me, whilst I'd taste the tears
Hurting me in each morbid way
Another bruise, another day

He comes near now, family smiles
Too blind to taste my uncle's guile
Too happy to see my endless fright
Another bruise, another night

Each day I feel closer to death
Battered I regret every breath
And as days go on I'd pray they see
The truth of what he did to me

Yet nothing is said, nor heard nor done
At the bottom of a pit, a bottomless one
Lays the truth, my innocence, my pride
Another day, nothing goes right

And I am
Bruised,
Forgotten,
Broken,
Sore
Too f'kd up to care anymore.
