the tears will collect, the memories will reflect
prayers will be said in reference to the dead

this is my last request
to lay me to rest
say your good-bye
and lower me down to die

dearly deceived, all who believed
that the last breath is the death

life breathes eternal through the eyes of the young
light beckons the soul before the last line is sung

upon my last request
