More to Me

by Rachel   Aug 20, 2006

Thereâ??s more to me than what meets the eye
Thereâ??s more than you can see,

Behind my face
Behind my eyes,

Dwells a sea
Of thoughts and feelings,

As you have your world
I have mine,

Though to most people
I am simply a by-passer,

Another kid
At their school,

Another wisp
In the breeze,

But to someone
I am a friend,
Or a cousin,

Or a sibling,

Or a niece,

It all depends on if you know me
Or if even know me at all,

Itâ??s the same way
For everyone else in the world,

People are like stars in the sky
Every one beautiful and unique
Yet there are so many of us,

Each with talents and struggles
Likes and dislikes,

Emotions and senses
Friends and families,

Passions and furies
Thoughts and expressions,

All of these are created
In a person,

No matter how they look
Or how old they are,

So thereâ??s more to people
Than what meets our eyes,

Thereâ??s more than we
Can see,

And inside the people
That we pass by,

Lives a whole world
To which weâ??re immune,

But there perspective lives on
Heard or unheard,

And that will never change.
