X- After One Night -X

by charlotte alfrey   Aug 21, 2006

Before our innocence was lost
Your voice made me cry the same old song
In your arms all I felt warmth
That smile of yours made me smile too
Sending a chill right through my soul

As our love played through the night
Now I'm left thinking on this long forsaken night
What have I done with my life?

After this one night

Because I know too well what I did was wrong
Now I fear this one mistake I'll never be able to make right
Now I'm awake I'm aware of how much I ache
Of guilt
I have
the pain is beginning
Turning to face you
And what I have done

After this one night

Breaking down the doors of my soul
Trying to get back the innocence you stole
With that voice that made me cry
A fool you held for too long
Your charm, charmed my heart on this night
The birds they sang our song under false pretenses
Now you and me are a sorry mistake
now I'm aware your only blessed with a song that says goodbye
Now my innocence is lost forever
I'll say goodbye to my past mistake

After this one night

For a sorry mistake of mine
I'll never look behind those eyes of yours
Ever again

Not on this one night
