Flips and Turns

by Lindsey   Aug 21, 2006

I want to be that girl
You point to and say thats her.
I'm sorry. I mean it. I just want
Things back how they were.

Shirts were off, emotion were on
And third base was his goal.
He closed the door and locked it.
His actions were beyond my control

I tell you it was too much drinking
And you walked away in disgust
I did not mean to sleep with him.
Please give me back your trust.

I storm to the car
And open the door
I turn the key and
The engine starts to roar.

I begin to cry
From all the pain
And like all the movies,
It starts to rain.

I step on the gas
And try to beat the red light
But the other car was coming quick
And the squeeze would be tight.

Three, four, maybe five
Flips and turns in the street
Before I die I must tell you
I diddidt mean to cheat.

I love you forever
And I always will
I will see you in heaven, my baby.
And I hope you love me still.
