Dear God, thank you for your grace,
and getting my mind off of this earthly place.
You are my true friend,
and even your rules you don not bend.
You are fair and just,
and whom I trust.
You catch me when I am falling,
and bring me closer to your calling.
So to you this request I bring,
that you hold me tightly under your wing.
I want to grow closer to you everyday,
and be ready for anything that might come my way.
Give me the power to stay focused on your will,
even when the path I am trudging seems all uphill.
Lord, you are second to none,
and I am grateful for all that you have done.
