Why you did what you did

by Andy   Aug 22, 2006

You are so amazing.
Your love so divine,
and worthy of our praising,
that, I don’t want to confine.

You are like a dove,
and have forsaken your life.
But you rendered it out of love,
so we could live in rife.

You payed the ultimate price,
and died a criminals death.
That was the only way to suffice,
by giving up your last breath.

I could not conceive,
losing someone so dear.
The pain I would receive,
and my heart it would sear.

God was willing to spare,
his one and only son
to show us his care,
so his will could be done.

Even to this day,
people don’t believe this is true.
They want an easier way,
so they say they never knew.

It is sad that these persons,
get caught up on sin.
And for foolish reasons,
they let satin win.

So use this powerful gift,
and spread this good word.
Praise and uplift,
and keep pressing forward.
