After the dark comes light

Ive been on a journey for a very long time
To find a man who could make my body quake
A man to disfigure the images that haunt my thoughts
But most of all, to find the one man
who could love me, the way a women should

Then, just like in every prophecy, that any simple joe could tell you
When I least expected it...
The mood of the atmosphere shifted
With in a second the tone in my voice changed
In a wrinkle in time my heart fell for yours

You gave me the kiss I so longed to feel
Making my body tremble, from my head to my toes
You made the blood race throughout my body
You made my knees go weak, like in every great tale

Then you spoke the words I once prayed to hear.
You told me how beautiful and special I was
You told me great I made you feel, without speaking a word
But what I remember most, was how you never want to be without me

And the look in your eyes let me know, that this was real
You were not looking for a way to break me
You werent looking for a weakness to use the hurt me
You were truly falling for the girl you had been waiting for

You then grabbed me, just like in every classic film
You held me close; as if trying to never let me go
Melting away all the frost inside my heart
Dissolving away my hate for men in general

When I put all odds against you
You came out triumphant
Like a knight in shining armor
Winning my heart, my soul, my everything
That I most willingly give to you
