Too Late

by MeganLeigh   Aug 22, 2006

I look at you and you smile back
And a chill runs down my spine,
My smile turns into a frown
Knowing you will never be mine.

I turn my glance away
And hang my head in sorrow,
Maybe I will have the guts
To look at you again tomorrow.

I finally get the nerve to look into your eyes
But I find it's already too late,
You were gone when I looked up
'Cause I just had to wait.

When we really like someone, the sly glances we give them is all we need for them to make our day but it hurts when they don't or rather won't return the glances. 5/5, Em

I really loved your poem! I do know what you feel like, when you like someone, but don't have the guts to tell them. Just remember that its better to know whether they like you or not and move on, then never know and always wonder. Beautiful poem. 5/5.
