Ingrained Destruction

by manic moments   Aug 23, 2006

On the ingrained morning of death
depicted pitches witness infront of my breath
Insight to murder mayhem and dishonour
I sit here, witness to the endless horror

Burgundy sky's filled with bleeding clouds
The shadow of men stiff and proud
Those men falling by the touch of bloody rain
And those proud men falling with a deathly stain

Lightning striking in the distance so far away
Leveling burdens of life and decay
Centuries of memories up in flames
Followed with terrified screams of pain

Formation of the Black Plague retreats many to death
Stealing all of their lonesome breaths
Decided contribution to the quota of dead
I fall back onto my messed bed

Bright sun appearing above the bloody pools of destruction
So many lives left under reconstruction
Bemused God playing games with our minds
Then killing us all with a light that blinds

Grief hollows out my stomach as I watch everyone die
The pitiful falling blood of the sky
Musing God watches all the screams
Then He awakens me from my dreams
