The Funeral

And here your ghostly face lays
Cold;raw; and lifeless
Watching as tear stained faces pass by.
Torn hearts and memories exchange in this hall

This terrible fate that they landed
Could have been avoided.
But, drinks and wrong decisions
were passed around that night
Thinking nothing of what destiny had in store.

These people they surrounded their lives in
Mourn in pain
Only to live their lives the way
They would have wanted them to
While covering up the pain.

As silent tears slip down my cheeks
I wonder how this could have happened to them
The ones that we loved.
Nothing can ever truly be right now
Without them this is pointless
