Breathe

by Maddy   Aug 24, 2006

As the empty shadows of what I thought lay ahead
Is now weakened into an eternal spotless mind
The laugher and tears that I once shed
Are slowly turning, into what I dont know.

The echo of night time engulfs me
Hearing the drip of a tap, the creek of the old wood
Knowing that the world that I live in will never change
I will never change.

Crushed and broken
Slowly returning to what was once a normal soul
The images slowly fade and the lights dim low
The future is coming
The world will breathe once again
I will breathe again.

I really like your perspective in this poem. It gives the reader a lot to think about. The negativity and hopeless words are powerful and maybe too powerful for some.
