Here Alone, Without You

by Lisa   Aug 24, 2006

Staring with discontent into the bleeding sky above,
My never ending thoughts drift back to you.
Deepening eyes of wonder, no longer shall beeche me
Guiding me though a hallow existence.
The ground beneath me starts to trembles
Threatening to collapse and swallow.
I am haunted by your gentle whisper,
An ever sweet lecherous lullaby.
The dead rose petals weep in silence,
Their tears glistening in the gleaming moonlight.
Every night I stand alone, your initials I engrave
Into my wrists forevermore
With hope that one day, maybe...
You shall thread back into the darkness that surrounds me
To rescue me once more.
But those tender eyes, once my protectors,
Have since then faded away, no longer within my grasp.
I\'ve lost them forever.
Now, I watch your shadow disappear,
While the road ahead steadily grows longer...
Withering away to nothingness as the sky turns grey
Disintegrating from starvation, I alone need you.
My bloodied tears flow from within my broken heart
Screaming out silently with lost hopes.
My solemn starts begin to vanish, one by one
As yet again, I stand alone.
The breeze is briskly on cold shoulders
As the rain descends upon decaying remains
Of what you, so long ago, saw with such unrequient beauty.
Futile attempts to escape my curputed mind as it races into twilight.
I need you, I breath you, you\'re the only one I see.
