Independent love

by Iola   Aug 24, 2006

You made it clear that if I'm not near you life will surely end.
You're driven by fear and I'm sorry my dear but I can no longer pretend.
We're flesh and bone but all alone, each one an individual soul.
On your thrown you'll feel like stone if your hoping for another to make you whole.

Can't you see that your spirit will crack without feeling love for yourself?
A dog or a cat, a husband or wife, will not create inner wealth.
The first step would be to stand still and see that you are born as one.
You make yourself glad, you make yourself sad, before turning into the vampire you've become.

You suck on my love and pray from above that I will keep you sane.
In the meantime I starve and you feel more love, a slow murder without evident pain.
Feast on my energy, breaking all synergy, your mouth and heart are full.
You do not care for me by praying on what's left you see, it's my plug that you pull.

I can only see you, if you commit to walking side by side.
Sometimes you'll win, sometimes you'll loose, it's all a matter of pride.
Share my journey, do not burn me and fight you demons in abeyance.
You will not turn me, I need to be free, today I'm taking a stance.
