My Angel

by ntv650   Aug 24, 2006

That mountain on the horizon is too high for me to climb,
And the river that runs by our feet is too wide for me to cross.
But you are my angel and you will carry me over both,
You'll take me to the highest point even past heaven
And if I ask, you will show me just how deep the river goes.

I would miss so many things if I didnt have you as an angel,
No-one else I know could trust and rely on me like you do.
And although I have no wings my angel taught me how to fly,
Even when I grew tired of life and was held down by troubles
You lifted me up high and held me till I stood alone.
