Losing someone you love,
With them, they take something,
Of yours, that has always belonged to you,
But no longer does,
They took your heart,
The regret,
Spills over you,
And falls like a tear rushing down your face,
Watching them, for the last time,
Is the most hurtful thing,
You will never see that face again,
Never feel what you used to,
Never be able to love them again,
They're gone forever,
Wanting what you had,
Going though the process,
Not believing it happened,
Then depression,
Then guilt,
The pain never stops,
Forever it hurts you,
Forever, you'll think about what you had,
And "what if" that wouldn't have happened,
But knowing forever,
That you can never change it,
Even if you want too.
