You Can Fool Them, But Not Me

by Kristina   Aug 25, 2006

Every time you smile,
I can tell it's an act.
I know deep within side,
Your heart is broken.

But you pretend that,
That is not true.
You may fool everyone else,
But you will never fool me.

I know what's like,
I've been there before,
I know it's hard,
But you have to get over him.

You have to realize,
He doesn't love you,
No matter how much,
You love him.

You just weren't meant to be,
Find someone else,
Who will care for you,
As much as you care for them.

Again, very bittersweet. Rhythm was decently intact, nice job. >.

Awhe, that is really sad. I thought the flow was wonderful, and the meaning of the poem was good. Great Work.
