Lying in silence

by Jordin   Aug 25, 2006

I'm found on a dark road lying in silence
as I try and come to these bruised feet of mine
blood drips from my arm, and a sharp pulsing pain in felt deep
in my heart.
Large cold tears trickle down this flushed face of mine
not knowing where I am, I call out for help
and once again I am found in a swallowing silence
This is the day strung out by eternity
Although I did avoid this skin spitting day we both knew
would come, here it is yelling in my face
Maybe others were hoping sooner, while we were praying
for never.
But here i am overcome with heartbreak
Wanting to fall right to my knees
and gasp for air
But knowing i have to go on
Bused, cut, bleeding,and teary eyed.
I am found on a dark road lying in silence.
