The God of War

by jessel jane   Aug 26, 2006

He was there in nineteen forty-one
in the heart of Adolf Hitler;
in the shadows of the Nazis...
he has broken off the Healer.

He has been there in Japan
during bombings and explosions;
He was in the rebels' hands...
tried to reach his own obsessions.

He was always there laughing
when Iraqi's fought the U.S.
He was always there smiling...
when this world has faced the test.

He has been there deep inside
in the minds of the Diplomats;
in the heads and guns of soldiers...
He has caused the wrath of hearts.

He was there inside your home
when your parents called his name;
when your brother fired your anger...
you had put him into fame.

He has been inside yourself
when silent battles were fought;
when faith and hope just left you...
he was the one you must've thought.

He lives in the world of darkness;
where the heavens hid their stars.
No one can stop the untmost rage of
the god of war:MARS.

    Great write... Enjoyed the flow. The powerful lines highlight such dramatic scenes. Wonderfully written.
