Scars Of Memories Kept

by CourtneyLouxxx   Aug 26, 2006

Friendly hellos, hateful good-byes
Sad darkened tears, under her eyes
Bleeding mascara, like the skin she tears
Reflecting the hurt of the fake smile she wears

A love forever felt, A hurt she has gained
You can tell from her eyes, this young girl is pained
A black cat at her feet, a black rose in her hand
All alone in an empty room, by herself left to stand

No light can penetrate, the darkness within
The redness of blood, as the knife sinks in
A painted smile, across a tear stained face
An empty heart, left with plenty of space

The shining light, reflected from her blade
A broken heart, this young girl will fade
A broken soul, and invisible princess
Her heart full of worry, anxiety and stress

A blood that pours, a tear that’s rose red
Does anyone notice there’s a corpse in this bed
No smile to speak of, tears on the sheets
She dies a little more till the end she meets

Superficial people, of a supernatural life
Her ripped and torn letter, next to her knife
As a darkened shadow creeps against the walls
Seeking out the soul of the body it mauls

Scars on the wrist open once more
Her face twists into a smile, the fake one she wore
As the blade pierces her skin, plunging in the depth
She looks at her wrist, the scars of memories she kept
