There she lies
In gentle sleep
Curled up peacefully
No tears to weep

Upon the dawn
And light of day
Those trickling tears
Did find their way

Tender memories
Of what was good
Faded and gone
Lonely she stood

For she is just

No dazzling looks

No second glance
Or flirtatious smile

That fragile soul

The good did make

Her self esteem
Was broken fast
Does no one see
She is a beauty?
