It hurts to have to say goodbye
looking all confused and wondering why
cant you see i deserve better then this
looking at all the things in life i missed

always there for you even when i was mad
no matter how frustrating, i hate seein you sad
even with all my confronts and your lies
i still wiped those tears away from your eyes

i helped you when i had problems of my own
im hoping you saw what i had shown
it seemed like i kept giving you pieces of my heart
but its like you didnt care so you ripped it apart

everyone knows we all make mistakes
but i didnt think it would take so many for our friendship to break
my heart was a bucket full of advise
no matter the situation it was always precise

i didnt think it was too much to ask for trust
so then our friendship wouldnt have faded into
dust
i dont know how many last chances i can take
you should know better from the mistakes you make

im tellin you i wish it was a dream
we were supossed to be a team
you know drama is something i hate
but i guess thats your god givin special trait

dont you know why i was always there
because you were one person, for i had cared
dont try and convince me wrong
becuase i have had more experience all along

it sure hurts to let you go
but i hope i said it all and now you know

maybe this is a lesson to learn
a strong friendship is something you have to earn
