Stain on the Soul

by FELTON PHILLIPS   Aug 27, 2006

A stain on the soul is like an old scar,
reminder of an event forever locked in ones head
A mistake is also like an old scar,
reminder of a decision that one would rather put to bed

Free will, heavens gift and curse
has led to happiness and much misery
Exercise caution with every choice you make
to avoid physical and spiritual injury

Memories of bad decisions forever locked inside your mind
Stains on the soul, memories one would rather leave behind.
Embrace your inner guide let your heart lead the way
Avoid bad decisions and there will be no price to pay

Follow the goodness that exist deep inside your heart
Stay on the path to goodness and you will do your part
A stain is a blemish that can ruin ones good clothes
A blemish in your character can ruin ones good soul

Your faith is all you need, it will never be in vain
Faith in God is all you need to wash out any stain
