Weep to the River

by LadyPearl   Aug 27, 2006

Winter melody haunts
It's moon beaming bright
Lurking shadow taunts
Swimming in the night
Wipe away your grins
wipe away your lust
Burn yourself in sins
Destroy shifting trust

Running through the snow
Dragging back the past
A river down below
Where all pity cast
Lay there weeping still
Bound forever pain
engulfed by sudden chill
Where all wonders drain

Believing in it's power
To heal these old scars
Sense of relief empower
Reality till it falls
Forgetting all thats true
Dwelling with the shadows
Becoming one of you
Guardians of sad woe

...Becoming another victim..
....Becoming like you...numb..
...Becoming part of the river..
...Becoming a forlorn giver...
