Best friend's leaving

How could she be leaving every one,
Seems like our friendship just begun.
She was very special to everybody,
But she was extremely precious to me.

With all my problems she was there,
When everybody else wouldn't care.
She could cheer me up like no other,
Other people wouldn't even bother.

She is so kind, and there to the end,
She is my very first true best friend.
This friendship was so hard to find,
And now she is leaving us all behind.

Trails of memories travel in my mind,
Of everything that she's leaving behind.
My best friend's leaving, it's hard to say,
Reasons screaming why I want her stay.

But it's time for me to face the facts,
She is going, but she will come back.
So we can discuss all the cute guys,
And screw up lives of those who lied.

I pray that she will do well though,
To be the best she can be, and glow.
That she will always try, never quit,
And has a good time in Connecticut.
