Forest

by Michael   Aug 28, 2006

The leaves form a patchwork quilt in the sky
The blue and white patches that break through
The millions of shades of green
The giant brown columns that are trunks
For the massive trees holding up this patchwork sky
Green lakes of grass upon dirt
Birds sing a tune of ancient wisedom
Insects crawl all over fufilling a task
Set upon their kind millions of years ago
As the sun sets it throughs a sheet of yellow and orange amonst the land
The night fog rolls in
Engulfing the land in white
The moon casts it's pale illumination Over the land and gives new life to the Forest
