Taboo

Passion spoke so loudly, the sweetest thing I've ever heard

Yet since that night silence has found me, I'm watching you closely, not able to utter a word-

The laugh and jokes we used to once share, are now replaced with quiet yearning and unease

The line was crossed and there's no going back but, going further would bring more difficulties-

It's human nature to act on impulses but, it's selfish not to care about the results

Can't give in to my heart this time, despite its long history of revolts-

But my mind keep creating thoughts of you, no matter how hard I try

Oh..just to have you one more time 'cause only you I want to satisfy-

Your eyes, your lips, your walk, your talk, your very being is torture to me

Just say you do, just say you will, put me out of my misery-

But something slaps me in the face, I open my eyes and standing there is reality

Relentlessly bringing me back to my senses from that night passion sweetly spoke to me-

So again silence finds me, as I watch you come and go

And I continue this masquerade to the world because my true feelings, you must never know-
