Thought and Dream

Nothing is as it seems,
Reality merges with dreams,
Nightmares haunt my day,
As normality fades away.

Lost in the vastness of thought,
Scared by the demons I've fought,
Darkness invading my mind,
The life wished for left behind.

Hoping and wishing for one,
Who the shadows cannot overcome,
To stand by my side and fight,
For that which I know is right.
