Little girl

"mommy where are we going?" the little girl asked
her mom didn't answer, she knew she wouldn't
what's this big problem unmasked
why wouldn't mommy tell me?

"mommy, where's daddy?" the little girl questioned her

came crashing down was her world
left out of the present

so the little girl stayed silent, full of thoughts in her mind
a problem she can't solve, with no pieces to find
a maze, she doesn't know where to go
a puzzle, she don't know

what's happening? she has no idea
the only thing she does is guess
is she just some girl in the family, for extra?
I'm part of the family, tell me! she screamed in her thoughts

she's left behind, behind in the past, no present no future
she needs to find her own self, her own family
just by herself in the cold, dark long road
her life, her parents owed

she stayed silent until the journey of mystery stopped
no one knew what else happened
