It's You

by AShatteredDream   Aug 30, 2006

Trying to forget the wishes you will never see

This secret I keep, holding it in my chest so tight

These words never spoken haunt the dead of night,

In my sleep I cry out your name.

Oh that angel kissed face,

hair of sunshine and stars.

It's too much to bear,

Even as this pen touches the paper

in the corner of my eye, there you are.

It's you.

These words are for you,

From my lips they spill,

I anticipate where this could be going.

These words are for you.

For your captivating smile I shall wait.

For your warm embrace I anticipate.

These words are for you.

Even though you don't know its you I'm watching.

It's you.

In this ink, my soul is crying

For you to read the words,

erased, deleted so many times.

My only hope is that I've finally

done something right.

It's you.

These words are for you,

From my lips they spill,

I anticipate where this could be going.

These words are for you.

For your captivating smile I shall wait.

These words are for you.

Even though you don't know its you I'm watching,

It's for you, it's all for you.
