Reminiscing

Before you read this poem, can i just say that you read it fully becasue it might make no sense at first but in the end it will. or should. ;)

The water was dead,
As dead as dead could be,
Unmoving, hard and lifeless like a small pebble or rock,
The trees were no less,
With a silver sheen across the surface of the bark,
Looking like the rippling of fish scales when the wind moved the branches,
The ground beneath my feet was invisible,
Hidden from my view,
And as I looked back it was though I had not walked through the forest,
But instead had landed in the middle of it by magic,
The sky above me was grey and dull,
With little white balls of cold that stung my face,
Pulling off my tiny glove I extended an even tinier hand towards the sky,
And knowing for the first time in my short little life,
That is was snowing.
