My prayer

I haven't done this in a while
so i don't know what to say
lord i feel so lonely
should i run away?

they tell me to do one thing
but i want to do what feels right
but when its done it feels so wrong
and my dreams seem out of sight

i know you can not fix my problems
and I'm not one to complain
its just nice to have someone to talk to
and not judge me "temporarily insane"

my prayer is not the norm
I'm not normally the one to pray
but its time i did some talking
i hope you'll listen to what i say

i like to be different
i find it kind of neat
people think its weird
but i like being a "freak"

all they see is clothing
and they never get to know
the person that i really am
but thats what i would like to show

I'm not deep down hurting
that I'm not the popular one
i don't really mind it
and i don't really want to run

I'm just sick of hearing rumors
that everyone chooses to believe
that i cut my wrists
and i love to watch it bleed

the truth is that i don't
and i guess only we can see
the truth from deep down inside
no one choses to believe

this is where i end my prayer
