She's still Waiting

by manic moments   Aug 31, 2006

She's waiting there
She's waiting with arms open
She's waiting for someone to care
She's still hoping

She's wiping her tears
Away with a sleave
Touched again by her fears
Sadness left to grieve

She's hiding in the woods
Hiding from the pain
People lifting her in black hoods
With hatred and disdain

She's running to the dark
Fearing all the light
Battered child in the stark
Unbroken lines in her sight

She's wavering on the border
Of life and death
She's falling a little closer
To losing her last breathe

She's falling to the ground
Arms open, hope lost
A little body to be found
A decision made with a cost

She's waiting there
She's waiting with arms open
She's waiting for someone to care
She's still hoping

Hoping for someone to see
A broken little spirit inside
"Someone come and find me!"
All the times she had cried

Wishing upon a falling star
Hoping for another day to pray
Hoping someone will start to care
Hoping for it everyday

She's waiting there in the dark
Waiting for someone to see
Waiting there, her heart bare and stark
"Someone come and find me"

Her arms are open to the world around
Yet no one fills the emptiness
All through the harships she's found
The worst was the loneliness

She's waiting in the cold night
With the stars falling in her hair
Cold feeling from her sight
With her tears falling bare

She's waiting there
She's waiting with arms open
She's waiting for someone to care
She's still hoping
