Shaking Cold

Does it feel good when it hurts?
I think it just makes things worse.
Dragging the blade across your arm
not caring about the physical harm.
Foolish decisions with sharp and jagged ends
calling your mom's carving knife your best friend.
You've pulled away from all the others
Selfish choices to become another.
Each inch of skin covered with blood,
scars that remind you never to love.
The pain sears deep within
It goes deeper than the skin.

It feels so much better when it hurts,
it makes me feel like I have worth.

    The last two lines are so so good! they really made the poem excellent! you always need a strong ending. to stay in their minds and make them want more! i love your poems. so so perfect.

    I know exactly how u feel...ive called the razor my best friend before...and when u get wrapped up in cutting enough...it truely is..u really capture what its like in this poem

    I liked this....You were like insulting yourself in the beiginning and switched it at the end...The flow was a bit bumpy in my opinion, but other than that I really enjoyed reading it...
