See myself in a different light

by tanya   Sep 1, 2006

A deadly symphony by candlelight,
composed for a broken heart,
fly free into the moonlight,
the darkness holds you no more.
Play your tune to me,
I can only cry to myself,
each word ringing in my ears,
as i quietly die inside.
I'll write my sins to the flame,
as it sways,almost forgiving,
similar to the shades of red,
i'll meet at the end of time.
Remorse is but a stranger,
in my time of need,i pray,
i wait for the clouds to part,
my faith is just a lie.
Fearing the end is useless,
must i fear how i feel inside?,
dead to a world that died before me,
i resemble the reflection i despise.
Turn away,oh bitter fiend,
too cowardly, look me in the eye,
apologise for the markings,
you inflicted on this tender skin.
