My Violet Lair

by {Miss} [A][L][L][I][S][O][N]   Sep 1, 2006

I'm hidden and I seem to have made myself blind
Cause I can't see beyond my own eyes
And everything seems to look so nice
As I look through purple dye.

Because nothing can seem more black and white
When purple insecurity blocks my sight
And it makes the world at least seem alright
As purple mixes with my black and white.

And it makes the people turn and stare
Such a pretty color, the perfect mask for despair
So for now I'll pretend I just don't care
And Go to hide in my violet lair.

It's perfectly cozy and nice to look at, too
And it blinds me just enough I can still see right through
My purple exray vision let's me see the real you.

And I can see your jealousy, along with your exposed despair
One day you woke up and this dream became your nightmare
And don't you wish you were nice enough to care?
Cause now there's only room for one
In my perfect violet lair.
