The Stars Had Names.

-The Stars Had Names.-

It was a mid-summer night just you and I
Moon shining bright in the sailor sky
Counting off stars, my head on your chest
My fast beating heart, pounding beneath my breast.

Your fingers entwined in mine, holding your body up to me
The love between us was blind for all to see
Your kiss a tender invitation for my delight
As our lips lightly collided under the stars that night.

A moments bliss, traded for eternity in my heart
The night was still young, with such a perfect start
Your warm breath dampening upon my skin
My forehead was where you carefully placed your chin.

The stars had names, from that day on
And something so perfect, could never go wrong
The one thing I would never forget, if there was ever
Would be when you held me tight, and talked about forever.

Ok this is like one of the best love poems ive read, and i dont like love poemsm that much, but i loved this one, it was so cuute and it made my smile and think of my boy, =].. almost flawless except for like 2 things-

Your fingers entwined in mine, holding your body up to me
The love between us was blind for *xallx*i think- *everyone-not all* to see
Your kiss a tender invitation for my delight
As our lips lightly collided under the stars that *something?* night. (this line seems too short.)

I could have sworn I've read this before...

But anyways, I really enjoyed it. Most people can't pull of love poems for one can never truly capture the feeling of love, but you did it to your best ability ((as does everyone else who succeeds like you have)) and wrote a wonderful tale. I loved the rhyming scheme, as well. Good job.
