Broken child

by argueing with the rain   Sep 2, 2006

I have seen to many sad eyes look at me. i have heard to many screams of pain. so many of our children are lost in a sick, helpless void. we are all paying for our parents sins. we wander through the day, wondering if this is some horrible dream. we pray to wake up and find loves warm embrace when our eyes open. the tears that fall from our eyesburn like acid, leaving so many horrific scars, scars that can only be seen by those who wear them. our hearts never beat because we were born without souls. we are just empty shells. completely hallow on the inside. we will inevitably pass this on with the birth of our children. creating a whole new generation of hurt. we take the drugs to fill our emptiness. we play our music loud to drown out the voices in our head. but these are only patch jobs. they never fix the problem, just help us make it through the next day. there is no cure, one will never exist. all we can do is try to find our own, individual paths.
