When You Wish Upon a Star

It's beautiful, it's radiant, breathtaking and captivating, this one little star.

It sits all alone in the dark sky, you watch it as you drive by. Just for kicks, you make a wish, not really giving it a second thought.

The night wears on..it seems so long. Life is pretty much the norm, but that wish starts to take its form.

You don't know exactly why you made that "childish" wish, but deep down in your heart, you want it to come true.

For all you know, it just may..so you share this wish with me, and inspired me to write this poem..when you wished upon a star.
