Entiché (Infatuated)

by BrokenREALiTy   Sep 2, 2006

After lust, but before attachment,
That feeling I feel, is just inbetween.
The feeling known as infatuation,
A feeling that is yet to be seen.

His spiked black hair,
Those beautiful brown eyes.
The light tan of his skin,
And the voice that never lies.

Though I've only spoken to him once,
And I don't even know his name,
I guess it's alright.
I can always play the guessing game.

I'm thinking he's from Oregon,
Or maybe he lives in Seattle with me.
Well, wherever his home is,
I'll see him again, just maybe.

The strong biceps of his,
And those smooth, large hands.
I wonder, was he staring at just me?
Or did he see me as just another fan.

His chiselled cheeks,
And the pink of his lips.
Oh how I wish,
To feel the touch of his fingertips.

Sitting next to each other during the movie,
We kept trying to steal a glance.
To be able to ask his name,
I never got the chance.

From a distance, we saw each other,
A couple times in the halls.
And that was all it took,
Into infatuation I would fall.

And I realized, thinking back,
To when I saw him around the cruise.
It's true when people say,
"You snooze, you lose."

I noticed he had a goofy side,
Every time I saw him with his family.
Like down in the large Vista Lounge,
He looked up straight at me.

I don't know why I feel this way,
It's like something out of a book.
To become so infatuated,
With just one look.

Like an ending to a fairy tale,
We watch each other as we go.
Leaving off the beautiful ship,
Still so much to learn and to know.

But it's too bad,
It's too late.
Can't turn back time,
Maybe this was fate.

I didn't know what to say,
As we watched each other, good bye.
He turned and I saw his back,
I felt so attracted to him, why?

Infatuated, not in love.
Just a physical attraction.
Tell me, is this for real?
And if I told him, what would be his reaction?

Too late for confessions now,
Besides, his name I didn't even know.
And if we got to know each other,
Would he be a friend or a foe?

Physical pleasure and excitement,
An all-absortbing passion.
Blissful and fabulous,
Infatuation...
