Jacob

The day I walked on down that street,
I never thought that I would meet;
A little boy about three or four,
A little blonde girl, need i say more;

The hot summer days, a lot to do,
T-ball, swimming, and fishing too;
Long school days became short but fun,
With a friend by my side, dull days i say none.

The beaches, the sand, and the crawdads we caught,
The fresh lake air and the boat that i got;
The sandbox, the cars, and the things that i had,
With my best friend with me, how could i be sad?

Remember the day you broke your leg?
Jump on the trampoline, we used to beg;
Think about the times of our birthday parties,
Or the times we were afraid of killer bees;

The fort we built in the great forest,
The acre big land, the creek was the best;
Or the annoying brat, with her big loud mouth,
Now, poor you, she lives a little bit south;

Best friends were we, until the day,
The day oh yes, when i moved away;
Out of Nebraska and into a new land,
We still see each other, memories at hand;

We went seperate ways with different dreams,
But close, we are still, as weird as it seems;
We love the same music and the same things,
We have different lives, thats what time brings
