A loss

by brooke christina   Sep 3, 2006

It's so surreal to those
who loose someone close
to think they're really gone
as the memories start to echo

when loved ones pass away
the relatives give up hope
they willow in their sorrow
their hearts no longer cope

things that were planned
are quickly canceled
permanente routine is gone
and goals are being crippled

people mourn for their lose
no longer do they smile
yes they'll miss their loved one
but only for a while

you see it gets to a point
where they go in fare too deep
as their hearts use to cry
now they only weep

when people accept their lose
but still brake down and give in
they start to cry for themselves
for the lose they are missing

i believe in carrying on
even though the pain
as the person you have lost
will pass with no gain

if there is a heaven
they'll be watching your every move
and if you give up now
i know they'll disapprove

you need to ask yourself
if when your life ends
you want the ones you loved
to give up and never mend

and if your answer is no
then think about the consequence
of making the same mistake
no matter how intense

i know it takes time
to come to accept all of it
but if you make peace
in the end you'll benefit

just remember to smile, laugh even
at all the happy memories
and carry on making news ones
as your heart starts to unfreeze
