For A Friend.

We were once stupid, dumb
Disliked each other, causing enjoyment for some.
But now I've gotten to know you better
and I'm expressing my feelings in this poem, this letter.

I'm sorry i lied to you
Sorry that you once tried to hurt me too
Sorry for the time we wasted with hate and betrayal
sorry for hoping each other would fail.

It's ironic of the way we became real friends
The way we stopped having to pretend.
Both longing for someone else's friendship
even though it was fake
and it's me and you who know how to be a real friend and friendship for granted we don't take.

I'm glad the friendship is now real
so here is the deal
No matter what happens I'll always be here for you
and i hope that you'll be here for me too.
