Mixed feelings

In my mind you're the perfect friend one in which ill never forget
But now I can't help but think there is more feelings since we first met.
My heart is telling me that you are the one that is right for me,
But in my mind its says your just a friend, I shall just let it be.
What do I do? What do I follow? My mind or my heart..
Should I stay with the feeling that I had from the start?

Your kind sweet gestures show that you care,
I don't know what to this feeling to me is rare.
I've been waiting and wanting to share my thoughts with you,
But nothing I think of seems like it will ever do.

You say you tell me anything no matter when what or who,
But I think there is something you are keeping from me too.
How could we be so close and yet so far apart?
Something's turning inside of me that's very close to my heart.
I wanted to know you forever and never let you go away,
However now im not so sure it is right that we both shall stay.

Is this it over already, the end of our perfect friendship?
I cant let you go I wont let it happen please don't just let us slip.
The words 'I love you' mean so much both when you send and receive
And all it takes is for the one receiving you have faith and just believes.
I hope that one day soon god can help me with the healing,
As right about now words just can't express my feeling.
