Any Given Moment

by Distorted Faces   Sep 4, 2006

If I looked up, at any given moment
I would see white ceiling plaster
And a fan spinning around in circles
Sometimes I think that's how I am
My mind always spinning so fast
Or so slow, or sor sometimes not at all

If I looked down, at any given moment
I would see caramel colored floors
Some clutter, and maybe cracks under doors
They let in little lines of light sometimes
I think that's how I am sometimes
Sometimes letting light in, sometimes not

If I looked right, at any given moment
I would see a cornflower blue wall
And if I looked up, a spot where it was patched
Sometimes I compare myself to that tiny splotch
Because if you think long and hard for a moment
Im just as much a glitch in the world as that splotch is

If I looked left, at any given moment
I would see a closed up window
Closed shut, covered with lacey fabric and such
Sometimes I compare my eyes to those windows
They can be open, or they can be closed
And if you're lucky, they might let you look through them
