The door closed slowly

by Jumeira   Sep 5, 2006

I closed the door slowly
He said silently good bye
When he really meant
Farewell

I closed the door slowly
As he walked out, away
From my life without
My good bye

I closed the door slowly
Where the end of my story lies
No tears were shed, no fears
It's a dead end

His smell was left behind
Many memories of laughter
The warmth of his breath on my skin
The shadows of his green eyes
The touch of his hands on my heart
I can't believe he is gone
I will not see him again
Please come back, I'd like to scream
Please don't go, you are my dream
There is so much more
We can live more, laugh more, cry more
We've got so much to share, the rest of our lives

But I didn't dare
To say any of it
I closed the door slowly

****************************

She closed the door slowly
Without a word
She let me go

She closed the door slowly
With a look in her eyes
Despair

I waited for her to open the door
Run in my arms
Tell me not to go
Ask me to stay
In her arms, where I can feel her heart beats on my chest
While her skin burns my skin
And her smile lightens my day, my path
I waited for her to scream
As I stood on the other side of the door
I wanted to hear her, breathe deeply
For the last time
One last time

There was no future
We both new it
I walked away and
She closed the door slowly

Awesome, awesome, awesome I can't say it enough. I loved it! I loved the resemblance of the door closing slowly showing how the relationship slowy ended. Gosh I can't say anything else but Great, wonderful, awesome job
