When I first saw you
I didn't see you
even as a friend
you were much younger
and I wasn't looking then
but as our lives entwined
and we became one
you became my life
my reason for living
from the birth of our sons
to the day we parted
you have been everything to me
I remember looking up at you
surrounded by light
as we made love
on one of many nights
and thinking is she really here
is this true or a dream
your presence I have always felt
and the love you gave me
kept me safe
and still one look from you
my heart melts
I fall in love again
even now that its ended
and we've parted
my love for you
will last forever
I know its not really a poem but its just how I feel about my wife
