Random Words

by Twisted Heart   Sep 5, 2006

Last night, they were said, just three little words
But this morning, they're stains on my heart
For I know, just as sure, as you said them to me
That today, they'd drive us apart.

Just fun for awhile, is what you had said
I didn't care much, at the time
To love you was wrong on so many levels
Random words were your ultimate crime.

You had your life, it was perfect this way
No commitments to think of, you said
But Random words, have covered quite nicely
The lonely tears that I shed.

Cruel words spoken, in passions embrace,
Next morning are lost on your lips
You leave in the wake of a new dawning day
Not caring if I'm still OK with this.

Simple words, that tear the soul out of me
They cause me such heartache and pain
Because I know, They're just being said
They are, after all, just part of your game.

But who am I kidding, I should have known
This fun would be gone when I heard
Those things that you tell, all the women who's fell
For the lies of your Random Words.
