The way

by Lisa   Mar 9, 2004

I hate the way you asked me out, sometimes I wonder why
I hate the way that I said yes, should've known I would've cried
I hate the way you said those words, I thought that you were true
I hate the fact you left me, should've seen that we were through
I hate the way you look at me, like you wish that you were mine
I hate the way you flirt with me like I can leave what happened behind
I hate the way you talk to me, like you don't give a shit
I hate the way you walk with me, like you f**king wanna hit it
I hate the way you act around me, like you don't want me back
I hate the way you treat me, like I'm something you can lack
I hate the way I want you back, and the way you made me feel
I hate the way I love you so, never could I let you go
I wish that I could hate you so; I thought that I was mad
But when you called to just hang-out
I suddenly grew glad
I knew that you - had to regret
Those things you put me through
But you know that I could never let...
Those good times are way way through
I hate the way I can't hate you
No matter how I try
I hate the way I'll always love you, you make me want to die.

I really liked this poem, and how you contradicted yourself in it. I think that is what love is all about. Anyway, nice poem. It was sad, but full of emotion and meaning.
